DONATIONS NEEDED !!

ADOPTEDUPDATE 9/7/06I just got back from the vet with Honey. She is on the way up! The lab report came back today, and the types of bacteria in her lungs are called "Pseudomonas" and "Pseudomonas Aeruginosa". These are the types of pathogens which infect people with cystic fibrosis. What makes them so bad are their resistance to antibiotics so much to a point that they just cannot be treated. Luckily I went back to the vet I trusted most and she chose the perfect antibiotic mixture. Honey is still getting over this pneumonia, so she won't be ready for a while. Everyone at my vet's office is crazy over her, and the difference they have seen in her is incredible.

**Hi Everyone, My name is Honey and although I am not feeling very good, my foster mom says I am the toughest little Maltipoo's she has ever seen. See, this lady bought me and a bunch of other little guys from all over the place and put us in her home. Then she just stopped taking care of us. I got really sick and the next thing I know my foster mom was taking me and my two pals away from that place called a shelter. I don't know why I got sick, but I just couldn't stop coughing. Since my pals who came with me didn't get sick, they figured out it was not something normal like a cold, or the cough you get from a kennel.

I stayed with my foster Mom only 1 night when I got really hot. She took me to a vet the next day and he gave her antibiotics for me. The next day I got even hotter and was really sick so she took me to another vet, only I had to stay this time. They stuck this sharp thing in my leg and put this stuff around it called tape. Well, I chewed that tape stuff off 2 times because it hurt! When my foster mom picked me up from that place I was still feeling yucky, and we went straight from there to the same vet we went to in the first place. They said my temperature was gone, but I still needed to be on antibiotics and other stuff. The thing called an estimate made my foster mom turn really white, I guess it was really a lot of money. Well, since I had been in the hospital all that time, my foster mom took my medicine and me and went to her house. She has been doing all of the things the vet place did only wi! th a lot more snuggling. In fact , I make sure she never puts me down on the floor. She is helping me get this stuff out of my lungs so I can run and play with my pals again. I can guarantee you, when I get well, I will be the prettiest Maltipoo this side of the Mississippi. At least my foster mom thinks so.

DONATIONS NEEDED !!

Please, if you can help, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 355, Hixson, TN 37343.
