Adopt a Texas Dog in Need's Story
This is a courtesy post of some wonderful dogs located at the city shelter in Fort Worth, TX to bring them visibility in cities with high adoption demand.

Sadly, our shelters in Texas are forced to euthanize about 80,000 pets annually simply due to too many animals, not enough adopters, and limited shelter capacity.

Some of these dogs have been at the shelter for months (June, July). Some are dog-selective and need to be the only pet in the home. Some are just scared at the shelter and true personality is not showing. Others have medical issues and will need special care. Some are perfectly healthy and have just been overlooked due to the sheer number of homeless dogs. They may be euthanized at any time.

We are a small rescue group with very limited capacity and funds, however, if you would like to adopt one of these dogs, we can pull the dog from the shelter and arrange transport to your city.

$250-$500 transport cost
$100 transport health certificate
$50 adoption fee to the shelter.

Thanks for considering them. Please read all details and click link for medical notes. We know they each have love to give and just need a chance.

View pets here: https://www.fortworthtexas.gov/departments/code-compliance/animals/urgent-placement-pets
