Adele's Story
Adele was picked up as a stray at a Dollar General in Essex County over the summer. Most dogs never make it out of rural shelters and after two months that looked like the path Adele would take, until she came to Dash that is! She is now in a foster with two other dogs and doing great, but this is not her final destination. Her permanent home is out there waiting for her.

Adele is very sweet and on the smaller and calmer side for her breed. She does have one multicolor eye, and while she is mostly quiet, she does have the husky howl. She is inquisitive and affectionate and will eagerly greet strangers wanting to be pet. And for those that take the time to stop and lean in for a good pet, she'll gladly roll over and soak it in, there's no shyness here! Loud noises don't seem to faze her and she loves car rides. She sleeps through the night, walks well on leash and has decent recall. She will want to chase small animals however, so we aren't sure how she'd be with cats. Energy-wise, she is pretty chill, but she does get the zoomies and can easily hold her own when wrestling with her 90 lbs foster brother. She would probably be fine as an only dog or in a home with another well behaved dog. She is crate trained but has not shown any destructive tendencies and is currently being given free roam at night. She chooses to sleep in a dog bed in her foster's bedroom.

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to meet her and we will put you in touch with her foster. Special arrangements can be made to meet her, or you can catch her most weekends at one of the Middleburg area's dog-friendly wineries.
