Adelaide pending adoption's Story
Adelaide - Female - Adult
Approx. 60lbs and 22” at the shoulder, about 2 yrs old (DOB March 20/24)

Adelaide, affectionately known as Addie, is a gentle, tender-hearted girl who’s learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. Her favorite pastime? Curling up on the couch and watching the world go by through the window. It’s her version of reality TV — and she takes her neighborhood watch duties very seriously.

Addie is very nervous and shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, she does warm up. Once she feels safe, her goofy and playful personality starts to shine. She’ll surprise you with her silly side and sweet affection (her gentle nose boops asking for pets are the best)

She would thrive in a quieter household with a confident, playful dog companion to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence. A canine friend really helps her feel safe and brings out her fun side.

The basics:

· House trained

· Kennel trained (her kennel is her safe space and will be important in her new home)

· Loves her walks and is gaining confidence with every outing

· Very food motivated and eager to learn

Addie hasn’t been around kids or cats yet, so a calm, predictable environment will be best while she continues building confidence.

She’s still learning the basics like “sit” — not because she isn’t smart, but because she’s been focused on braver things, like learning that new experiences and people can be safe. With a patient, understanding person committed to moving at her pace, Addie will continue to grow into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be.

If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle companion and have the patience to help a shy girl feel safe and loved, Addie may be the perfect addition to your home. Watching her bloom will be one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll ever take.

Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
