Adelaide's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I’m Adelaide, a 40 pound, 5 year old cattle dog. My friends call me Addy. My breed comes from Australia but the police found me wandering in Kent. Can you imagine someone dumping a beautiful girl like me? I was scared and lonely. Happier now at my foster home which has a big yard, one big human, one small human, and two playmates. However, In really want my own person again. I promise to love you with all my heart.

My foster mom always tells me how beautiful and good I am. I’m house trained, not food or toy aggressive, love car rides, and although timid at first, I warm up to people quickly. Things to work on include pulling on a leash especially when I see critters ahead and reacting to new dogs and sounds. Because of my timidity and reactiveness, It was hard when I was alone to know who to trust.I don’t give a good first impression but if you give me a chance, I’ll make a very loyal and loving companion.

Foster mom Donna here. Addy is a delightful dog full of contrast. She has high energy outside but calm inside. She can be independent but also playful and affectionate. She likes people of all ages but can get nervous if too many new ones all at once. I leave her alone in the house with no crate and she’s been good. Her ideal owner will love the outdoors and have a yard where she can run free and explore. We have recently allowed her to be off leash and she’s been good at recall but took a few months to get her there. Thus a fence would be ideal.

If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:

adoption application

For those viewing on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal please click on

More About Rose's Rescue,

you may fill out adoption application from there.
