If you’re looking for a best friend in life, you've found her! Addy is an amazing 3 year old German Shepherd, embodying all the best traits of the breed. She has come a long way since being rescued in September 2021 from an abusive owner who unfortunately is believed to have neglected Addy for long periods of time. She is truly a sweet, well-mannered girl who will continue to thrive in a home with no other pets. Addy loves walks and any opportunity to keep an eye on squirrels, birds, raccoons- you name it. She is a dream copilot for car trips, either sitting quietly as she looks out the window or laying down and taking a nap. Like most people, Addy thinks thunderstorms and fireworks are overrated and prefers to avoid them. Addy has been known to let out a howl when she hears sirens, a quirk we believe to stem from her early days. Her diet is phenomenal as she has been known to enjoy carrots, cauliflower, peas and chicken; although he favorites may be broccoli and sweet potatoes. Addy has been thriving on Royal Canin German Shepherd dry food since being rescued 18 months ago and would continue to benefit from this food due to its beneficial ingredients tailored for her breed. <br/><br/>A message from Addy’s current owner:<br/>Due to my deteriorating health, Addy is available for adoption. This is the hardest decision I’ve had to make and absolutely tears me apart to have to say goodbye. Addy has supported me and my family through some difficult times and the fact I cannot give her the life she deserves is gut-wrenching. Please love her for the amazing friend she already is, and encourage her to keep becoming the best version of herself. There is no bad bone in body and her heart is full of nothing but love. She is smart. She is funny. She is everything you could possibly want from a German Shepherd… unless you’re a squirrel!<br/><br/>** This is a courtesy listing. Addy is living with family as we try to help them find her a home.
