Addison <br/><br/>12/ 16/2025<br/><br/>Addison is a 1-year-old German Shepherd who has already been through more in her young life than most dogs ever will.<br/>For almost an entire year, Addison has been with us healing, learning, and figuring out how to trust. Both of her hips have been surgically repaired due to hip dysplasia, and through it all, this girl has kept moving forward. <br/>Addison is:<br/> Spayed & up to date on vaccines<br/> House trained<br/> Crate trained — she actually enjoys relaxing in her crate and eating her meals there<br/> LOVES playing fetch<br/> Loves snuggling in bed and getting belly rubs<br/> Has been working with Say It Once Dog Training<br/>But Addison is not a dog who will fall in love with you at the first meet-and-greet. New people and new dogs make her uncomfortable at first, and she needs TIME to decide that you are safe. Her adopter should expect more than one meet-and-greet and be willing to build a relationship with her at her pace.<br/>She will need a home with German Shepherd/breed experience, extreme patience, and no small children. She also does not like having her feet touched, and her boundaries need to be respected.<br/>Addison actually had a home lined up, but sometimes life and timing simply don't cooperate.
