ACE's Story

Adoptable boy Ace is a 3 y/o, 75lb goofy angel slaaaash work-in-progress. He’s come a long way since leaving the shelter for an internal foster this summer and everyone who’s met him lately agrees, he's trying reeeeeally hard to be his best self. Ace loves people (especially the ladies ), believes personal space is optional, and is convinced that despite all evidence to the contrary... he is a tiny tiny lap dog. Ace does well around calm humans but can occasionally get overstimulated. When that happens he develops a biiit of a fixation on the feet closest to him. It’s not mean, it’s more “I HAVE FEELINGS AND DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM.” Training, structure, and clear boundaries are helping immensely and he’s absolutely capable of continuing to all his hard work in the right home. Ace would love another dog to help show him the ropes. He did wonderfully in shelter playgroups and since being in foster he’s met several pups. Ace wants to play with them all, and takes corrections beautifully. Basically, he needs a canine pal who can say, “Bro. Chill.” Ace doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He is affectionate, silly, loving, and deeply devoted to his people. He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh daily and reminds you that progress is still progress even when it’s a little messy (err slobbery). Ace’s adoption/license fee has been sponsored by MACC Pack.
