Meet Ace <br/>Ace is a handsome 1 year, 7 month old male German Shepherd with a big personality and even bigger energy. He’s a smart, active young dog who’s ready for a home that can keep up with him and help him continue learning the ropes.<br/><br/>Ace has been around other dogs and young kids, but because of his enthusiasm and energy, he may accidentally knock little ones over—so supervision and guidance are important. He previously lived as an outdoor dog and is still adjusting to indoor life, including getting comfortable walking on hardwood floors and tile. With patience, encouragement, and consistency, he’s already making progress and learning that the indoors aren’t so scary after all.<br/><br/>Ace would thrive with an active family or individual who understands the needs of a young German Shepherd and is excited to continue his training and confidence-building. In return, you’ll get a loyal, intelligent companion who’s eager to bond and be part of your life.<br/><br/>Please do your breed research before applying to adopt. German Shepherds and GSD mixes are a special breed of dog with special requirements. These dogs were bred to have a job, and without the right activity level/purpose they won’t flourish which can lead to issues down the road. These dogs are incredibly smart and need to be challenged both physically and mentally to really be happy. The German Shepherd is known to be vocal when excited and can be a bit mouthy at times, proper training is key in helping your German Shepherd adjust to their new life.
