ACE's Story

Ace is a true survivor, as indicated by his will and fight to swim his way to safety during the floods of Perry and Morgan County this summer. Although his history is unknown, it is obvious he has been loved along the way based on his socialness with other people and animals, and yet no one came for him once he was found. He was displaced from Morgan County by the floods moving then to Perry County and then onto Fairfield County looking for a safe dry place to land. Things were looking up until he made his first vet visit, only to find him stricken with heartworm disease, tickborne disease diseases, and intestinal parasites. Although not a great Adoption candidate on intake, who could say no to those pleading eyes that had already overcome so much. Ace is truly one of the best cards in a deck. He has likely been an outside dog, but has adjusted quite well and quite quickly to the inside life. He hasn’t met another four legged companion he didn’t Like, he is quite playful, despite his middle age, and is a true foodie at heart. Ace would love a home where he gets equal division of time inside and outside, with walks or hikes, along with his companion, and plenty of time watching football. We suspect Ace is a beagle husky mix based on his appearance with an estimated age of 6 to 7 years and a weight of 35 pounds. If there is space for Ace in your life, please fill out an application and we will get back with you soon. $250

If you would like to meet ACE please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
