Ace Pit Bull Terrier Mix Huntsville, AL

Attention to all the ladies!

Do you live alone? Have you ever thought about getting a dog for peace of mind or even just to have a super sweet cuddle bug who wants to lay next to you? Ace is your guy! Ace is a 3-4 year old neutered male. He is the sweetest and most gentle dog you could meet. He is a beautiful blue brindle color and has the prettiest grey eyes. We are not sure of his exact breed mix but he is about 55lbs and is very lean. He hardly ever barks unless it’s to alert his foster family of someone at the door. He doesn’t lick faces but will curl up right next to you. He also does really well on a leash but tends to cross in front of the leash holder a bit. However, he never pulls or tries to go after any other animals. He was completely non reactive to cats when walking within a couple of feet of one. Ace is crate trained and will immediately run to his crate when he hears his food being scooped.

We don’t know of his past but we do know that he is absolutely terrified of men. When he was picked up from the shelter, his entire body was shaking and trembling due to a male employee being near him. He has improved over the last 6 months in his foster home but he likely wouldn’t be as comfortable in a home with a man or teenage boy. Ace would love a home where it’s just him but would do well with female dogs too.

Ace is being fostered in Huntsville, AL. He is heartworm negative, up to date on his shots, and is on a monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
