ACE is my name and coming out of my shell is my game.... I am a bit of a nervous lad while getting to know you and my environment. The volunteers here are so kind, gentle and helping me see there are really good people in the world. I came to the shelter as a stray, and I can't tell them my backstory but they don't care. It's all about today and the future now! I'm about 4 y/o and being called a Shep/pit mix... what do you think? Anyway, that doesn't matter, just getting better is everyone's focus. I am trying too! If you come up to my kennel, i move away and I'm shy. But warming up to everyone day by day! These volunteers will get to know me quickly and help any possible adopter understand my personality. That makes me happy! Oh, i seems to be ok with other dogs, but a few meet-and-greets at the shelter will be needed with your dog first to be sure before I can go home. They say I can be adopted to a family with kids 16+ only; young adults I hear them call it... Ace was adopted recently but needed to be returned, no fault of his own. Ace is not house-broken. We're working on it. He needs a patient family who will take the time to teach him what's expected. He wants to please. We are including training session with our trainer, Jaimee, to help you get started with Ace and his shyness, anxiety. He needs a patient person (family) willing to do the work.

Stop in to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our dogs. If you have a dog already and are looking to add another to your family, please come without your dog for the first meeting. If that goes well, we will set up another meeting with you and your dog to ensure we that we have an available volunteer to supervise the dog meeting and make sure they are a good match.

We do not adopt first come; we always adopt to the best home for our animals and require approval from our dog committee. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you can have a dog. Also bring your Vet's information to so we can conduct a vet check (and please let your Vet know we will be making a call).

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs. Our animals are fully vetted before being placed for adoption, and spayed/neutered if they are old enough. If they are too young for spay or neuter, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
