Meet ACADEMY this SATURDAY, JAN. 3 from 12-3PM at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. He’s calm, easygoing, and happiest just hanging out by your side. He can be playful when the moment strikes, but he’s really more of a “let’s relax together” kind of guy.<br/><br/>Academy loves treats (and takes them ever so gently!), enjoys the company of other dogs, and has the kind of heart that just wants to love and be loved in return. He’s ready to give his whole heart to someone who will promise to never leave him behind again. <br/><br/>Academy is a 3 year old Pit Bull mix. He is kennel trained and appears to be house trained. <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
