Abby - Adoption Pending's Story

Meet Abby: A Special, Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog (ASTCD) Looking for Her Person.

This beautiful female Cattle Dog has a story that’s still unfolding — and you could be the one to help her write the next chapter.

She didn’t get the socialization she needed as a puppy, which means the world can feel overwhelming at times. But don’t let that fool you — she’s made real, meaningful progress over the past several months with help from our dedicated training team. With patience, consistency, and love, she’s begun to trust, explore, and show glimpses of the incredible dog she’s meant to be.

Now she’s ready for a home that’s calm, predictable, and filled with kindness and patience. She thrives in quieter environments, with some average, and another dog to be her friend. Abby would do best with someone who understands that healing takes time. She’s not the kind of dog who’ll be the life of the party — but she just might become the heart of your home.

She has years ahead of her to grow and become her best self. What she needs is someone who sees her potential. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in small victories, then you might be her perfect match.

This is not a typical adoption. It’s a commitment to a journey. But for the right person, it will be one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable. Could that person be you?

Abby is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her core vaccines. She is being fostered near Stanwood, WA. Her adopters will need to be patient as Abby continues to grow. She will require 3-4 in-person meetings to ensure that she is the right fit for her adopter's family.

Adoption Process:
- Adoption Application
- Phone Conversation
- Meet & Greet (3-4 required)
- Home Visit
- Application Approval
- Adoption Fee & Contract ($390)
Our adoption application is available at pnwcdr.org/adopt.
