Abby's Story
Meet Abby, a 1-year-old Border Collie mix weighing about 50 pounds. She appears to be a Border Collie mix to us, but that's always just our best guess based on looks. Abby is a very sweet girl who can be shy with new people and has what we call a little "stranger danger." She takes some time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she settles in nicely. Abby is also not a needy dog, making her a great match for someone who prefers a more independent companion.

Abby was surrendered to our local shelter when she was still very young, back in July, and spent a few months there before we were able to bring her to ACT. While we don't know much about her early life, she has done well since coming into our care. Abby really enjoys other dogs and gains confidence from them. She would likely do best in a home with another friendly dog and will happily become a best friend for your current pup.

Abby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her age-appropriate vaccines. She's looking for a patient home that will give her time to adjust and continue building confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, dog-friendly companion who isn't overly demanding, Abby may be a great fit.
