A very special senior, Princess's Story
Looking for a sweet Senior you can share her golden years with? We have a spectacular dog to introduce you to; PRINCESS, 11.5 years old and 55 lbs., is a happy, friendly dog who has is thriving since we pulled her from NYC ACC this past February!

We have successfully eradicated ear infections so severe she was presumed deaf at the shelter and her eye infections have also been treated. Her vision, which was thought to be seriously compromised, is now known to be very much in tact!

While we were having her mast cells addresses, imaging revealed a mass at the base of her heart. THE PROGNOSIS: After some worry and waiting, a follow up revealed the mass at the base of her heart is slow growing and suspected to be a chemodectoma, a locally-invasive, slowly-growing tumor. PRINCESS has been in high spirits since losing weight, regaining her vision and hearing, and leaving the pain of chronic bilateral ear/eye infections behind her!

It’s impossible to say how long she has; many months to a few years. We are honored to work to find her a home who will cherish her for all that she has left to give. She needs daily eye drops and is on a herbal supplement at the advice of our oncologist. These monthly meds are around $175. She needs follow up bloodwork and chest rads every six months. Our animal welfare nonprofit will cover the costs for bloodwork and rads for the first year if an adopter may no be able to afford these costs.

PRINCESS loves people and is in foster with two resident dogs she is getting to know and doing very well with. Cats are unknown but she will likely be fine with children. She enjoys lounging in the outdoors and hanging at her foster mom’s feet on her work from home days as a silly senior with plenty of energy for walks.

?Fostered in Pottstown, PA
To meet Princess, please apply online at mrbonesandco.org/adopt
