A.. Sylvia Great Dane Charlotte, NC

Oh, Sweet Sylvia. Sylvia was owned by a breeder. She began her life as a mostly indoor, family dog, until greed took over. When she began having puppies, her life indoors became a life outdoors, with only a shed for warmth. After a few litters, Sylvia was tired of being a milkbag and unfortunately, took it out on her litter of pups and buried them when they were 3 days old. Upset, her previous owner was going to have Sylvia euthanized, but a friend talked him into surrendering her. She was underweight, full of milk, and terrified of men, yet craved human attention. She lacked soialization with both humans and other dogs. Over time, Sylvia is learning to be a dog.

She is a 4 year old, 95lb, petite Harlequin Great Dane. She is house trained, crate trained and working on house manners. Sylvia starts heartworm treatment on 1.12.16 and will be ready for adoption in 4-6 weeks.
