A boy named Sue 's Story
A boy Named Sue....aka Herc aka Lou aka HercaLou. This sweet gentle soul came to us via a Louisiana transport 4 years ago. He was adopted out by a very sweet smart and fit older gentleman. Unfortunately Sue's dad passed away last month landing our sweet friend back at UCC. He had a few boarding stays with us while dad traveled, but this time dad isn't picking him back up. Yesterday 3/1 he saw our Vet for a check up and vaccine updates. She had brought he partner with her, well when Sue saw the open lap of that older gentleman he jumped right up, rolled his belly in the air and truly has not looked happier since he has come back to us. Unfortunately their family cannot take on a large dog right now, but if they could they tell me they would. Sue knows his basic commands, is strong but walks well on leash, is crate trained and house broken. Sue does well with other dogs, will be re-cat tested but he did fine his first go round with us, and would do fine in a home with gentle, respectful but durable children. Its clear that Sue would like his own old man to share his golden years with. If you are an old man or a family that has an old man, A boy named Sue is the dog for you !!!
If you are interested in adopting a UCC dog in need please visit our website www.ulstercountycanines.com to submit an adoption application.
UCC offers discounted access to after adoption services for our adopted alumni such as: Dog boarding, Day Care, Free access to our Private Dog Park, Low Cost Veterinary Wellness Vaccine Clinic and more!!
Please read through our website prior to the application for information on adoption fees, who we are what we do and how you can help!!!
