947 (2025) Sara's Story

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: Transferred from City Of Liberal Animal Shelter

From the foster: Affectionate, playful, and really sweet, Sara is a joy. She quickly changed from shy to playing with the other dogs and cuddling with her foster humans. She is a happy dog. When she gets excited she spins in the cutest circles and her fun personality shines. She enjoys playing with dogs and humans alike and then lays down and cuddles again. Cuddling is her favorite pastime. Her desire to trust and be a part of the pack is strong. Potty training is almost complete. She goes to the back door when she needs to go out and wakes her humans at night when needed. She appreciates an escort outside, but does her business quickly. She is smart and wants to be good. Once she opened up, she started to play with toys, but really isn't a chewer. Sara would thrive in an environment with plenty of love, attention and fun. She will be a very loyal companion.

From the previous shelter: Sara is a sweet, timid girl who may need a little time to warm up to new people, but her gentle nature shines through once she feels safe. She's still learning how to play, but with patience, love, and a yard to explore, she would truly thrive.

Sara and her best friend Zora were rescued along with 13 puppies and safely cared for by a kind citizen who even had both girls spayed. She's ready to find a loving home where she can feel secure, grow in confidence!

www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
