Meet #75 Toby
Toby is a 6-7 month old hound mix who had a broken paw when he arrived at the shelter. He was taken to the vet and then stayed at a foster home during his recovery. His paw is healed, although he still is building back the leg muscles he lost while he was in a splint. He did very well in his foster home and stayed in a crate when no one else was at home. Since he is still a puppy, he needs someone to let him out during the day until he gets older, but he is pretty good at house-training as long as his water intake is regulated. He loves to play with toys and likes to be petted. Toby lived with a female adult dog and did very well, although his playfulness might be too much for some dogs. He likes to go on car rides and loves treats and his chew toys. Toby takes treats very gently and is a sweet boy. He has been out in public at a Farmers Market and an RJ Julia Booksellers author event and was good at meeting people. Toby still needs to work on not jumping, not barking and is still a little mouthy, but he already knows sit, down, touch and stay and will be a fast learner in his new home. NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED.
