Brenda is a 3-4 year old small to medium dog that will make a loyal companion to an individual or family. She is energetic, loving, smart and willing to learn new things. Brenda loves to ride in vehicles, walk on trails and in the woods. She's in pure heaven when playing fetch.<br/><br/>Brenda was found in the woods by one of our volunteers and had obviously been on her own for quite some time. Even though she had to survive on her own for a while, she is trusting and adapts to people and situations easily. We call her a velcro dog - once she knows you, she sticks right by. We know she loves adults, male and female, and appears to love the smaller sized version as well. We would want all family members to meet her to ensure this is an accurate statement. She is currently learning commands and listens well when corrected. Brenda is up to date on all vaccines and shots and spayed. Brenda is house trained but we would not recommend her in a home with other dogs or cats. <br/><br/>Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing.
