ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS<br/><br/>FENCED YARD<br/><br/>My name is Reagan. I am a terrier mix of sorts. I have the characteristics of several breeds they say. I am about 3 years old and weigh appx 30lbs. <br/>Like every dog that comes in to rescue I have a story. I had a family once and they got in to some trouble and had to leave. Two men came to get my siblings and me to take us to a strange place. I was so scared. They had to use this thing called a catch pole to get me out. My siblings thought this was a cool adventure and went right with them. Me not so much. We spent several weeks in dog jail waiting to see if our people would be able to come get us. That didn't happen. This whole time I was in my run too scared to come out so I just didn't. When the nice rescue people came to meet me I acted like Cujo thinking they would just leave me alone. My rescue mom knew my aggression was just fear and she was determined to break thru that wall... I could go on and on about how mean and hateful I was that day I got sprung and taken to the vet. Event he vet though she was crazy!!<br/>Fast forward to today about a month later.....I am a normal dog. I still have stranger danger and take a bit to warm up to new people but I come around quickly. Especially if treats are involved! I love all toys but particularly squeaky toys. I can even catch treats and balls in the air... I am very playful but can also chill out when I need to. I don't get on furniture unless I am invited. I am crate trained and housebroken. I have learned that I am not allowed to charge the food bowl and have to wait until I am told it's ok. My foster mom says I am so smart. I would be fine as an only dog with someone who is home alot and doesn't mind me being their shadow. Another laid back dog would be ok too. I tend to get over stimulated with too much chaos. A low traffic home would be good too. I do know how to meet people but it takes a minute for me to be ok. I am a good watch dog in that sense. Cats are a hard no. They run....I chase. It's a terrier thing. older kids that would like a snuggle buddy would be fine because I love that. <br/>If what you have read hasn't scared you away please set up an appt to meet me. I really am a sweet girl that let fear get the best of me for awhile. My rescue mom said I had to tell my whole story so people would know mu background and that would make them love me more once they saw me.
