6896 Willow's Story
Adoption Requirements:

FENCED YARD
ONLY PET

I’m Willow! I love being wherever my foster mom and dad are. My favorite hobbies include being a baked potato in the sun, rolling in the grass, chewing on toys, eating snacks, and napping. My foster mom calls me a house pig…something about my snorting, cute ears, and short legs. I never really knew what it was like to be a loved house pig before coming to my foster home. Here I am learning how to do a lot of things, like being a pet, playing with toys, following directions, and using manners.

Here’s what my foster mom has to say about me.

If her short stature, beautiful coloring, and quirky ears don’t immediately steal your heart, her unconditional love and grunting like a pig surely will! Willow is a 4-5 year-old Pitbull and weighs appx 60lbs. She is super sweet and loves to be a baked potato in the sun. She gets scared at loud noises and being alone and just wants to be wherever her human is. She came to us not knowing how to be a dog or any commands. She is super food motivated and smart, so she is picking up on most things fairly easily. However, she will need someone that is dog savvy and will have lots of patience with her, especially as she learns a new routine. If you miss her cues or she doesn’t know how to tell you what she needs, she will climb or jump on you and mouth you like a puppy. She knows sit, come, and “go to your room” when it is time to go to her kennel. We are working on stay, down, perfecting our leash walking, and what we can and can’t chew.

She is house trained, but she is only out when we are home with her. We are working on kennel training, and she does well with it when it is time for bed, or we go to work. She likes to ride in the car, but it also scares her, so we are also working on that. She still gets bouts of puppy energy and can easily knock over young children when excited, so it would be best to not be in a house with small children. She loves all the people she meets but she has a dominant alpha personality and a high prey drive with rabbits and birds and needs to be the only pet. Once in awhile she will curl up next to you, but prefers to just be near you.

If you would like to meet Willow, please fill out the application below (copy and paste to your browser) and we will get back with you as soon as we can.

https://form.jotform.com/211044942326146

Adoption fee pays for all vetting....spay surgery, a heartworm test, all vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, a microchip and a wellness exam.
