I’m Telluride aka, Winters or get your butt in here right now! I could be your future best friend and part-time household supervisor. I am a 3-year-old spunky, fearless, sassy diva weighing in at 16 pounds. Ideally, I should weigh about 18-20 pounds, so I’m currently working on adding a few extra curves (you know…winter body goals).<br/><br/>I have been told many times that I’m a very sweet dog and I love people and other dogs very much. I’m an energetic girl who enjoys roughhousing with my canine friends -but I do prefer to have the upper paw. Some dogs say I can be a little insistent about winning the wrestling match….but what can I say? I’m competitive.<br/><br/>Because of my play style, I’d do best with a dog buddy who can match my energy. Older dogs or smaller pups might not appreciate my “let’s wrestle NOW!” Approach to friendship.<br/><br/>I also have a very strong prey drive. Squirrels, birds, leaves blowing suspiciously in the wind….they’re all highly susceptible and must be chased immediately. I am still working on listening when it’s time to stop barking because sometimes, I get a little stubborn and need my human to come retrieve me from my very important yard patrol duties.<br/><br/>I love walks, toys and trips to the dog park where I can run and play. I’m mostly potty trained but I do best with a consistent routine and a little guidance.<br/><br/>Now small confession: I can be something of an escape artist. If there is a gap in the fence I may find it. Wrought iron fences? Think of them more as suggestions. So, I’ll need a secure, well-enclosed yard. I’ve also been known to dig occasionally ….but I usually stop with corrections-assuming I agree with the correction on that day.<br/><br/>The good news? I don’t have separation anxiety. I’m perfectly happy hanging out in the yard with or without a friend while my humans are inside. At night, I sleep quietly in my crate (or on your bed) like a perfect angel and don’t make a peep till you wake up in the morning to let me out for a potty break.<br/><br/>I also enjoy being brushed and pampered, and I stand nicely on the grooming table like the little diva I am. Car rides? no problem- I settle right down in the back seat and enjoy the ride.<br/><br/>What I am looking for is a furever home with a patient and firm human who will love me and all my quirky, sassy charm while helping guide me into becoming the best companion I can be.<br/><br/>So….Could that be you?<br/><br/>Because I promise. Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
