26Rose's Story

26-Rose

Breed: Border Collie Mix

Age: Approximately 1 year old

Weight: 41 lbs

Housetrained: Yes, but needs a regular schedule or a Doggy Door

Leash Trained: Yes, but needs work on leash due to her excitement

Kids: 5+

Cats: Yes, but will need supervision initially

Dogs: Yes, Absolutely!

Crate Trained: Yes, sleeps quietly in crate at night, but needs a little working during the day

Rose is a very active Border Collie mix that absolutely loves to play with other dogs and has endless energy, so we think it will be best to go home with another dog. Having an active family would also be preferable because she loves going on walks and hikes – and not just a mile walk as she could go for several miles at a time. She loves her people too, but can be fearful of men in the house so she will need some patience and a little work to get familiar with men at home. She has been okay with a dog savvy cat in the home, but would probably chase a running cat and possibly want to play.

This girl will need some continued training due to her lack of spatial awareness and can be very jumpy, especially when she gets excited. She is very sweet and loving, but will need consistent boundaries to succeed in a home environment. This girl will be worth the work because she has a loving and spunky personality.

If you are looking for some excitement in your home, Rose will definitely brighten your day and keep you on your toes. She would love to find a fun, playful fur sister or brother too.

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.

Our address is:

4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14
Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card).
