26Lassie's Story
Name: 26-Lassie

Breed Mix: Hound Mix

Age: 9-12 months

Weight: 35 pounds

Dogs? Good with dogs, but does not actively play very much

Cats: Yes, Dog Savvy cat tested

Kids: Yes, but small running toddlers may spook her initially

House Trained: Yes and uses doggie door

Crate Trained: Okay, not preferred and travels well in a crate

Leash Trained: Yes, easy to walk

Lassie is a gem and such an easy dog to have around. She is fairly calm most of the time considering her age, but does get excited at times. Although she is good with dogs and we have not seen leash reactivity, she seems to prefer people over dogs and would not be considered a play buddy. She may do well with a calm dog and light play. If there are no dogs in the home, she would do best hanging out with her human family most of the time and is a great WFH dog so far. She has not really signaled to go outside to potty, but had no accidents with access to a dog door. She does need basic training and more socializing, but has done well going to restaurants and Petsmart. She loves her daily walks, just gets spooked with loud noises and a lot of activity sometimes. I don’t think she has met a person she didn’t like so far, and she has met quite a few already. Her future family will be lucky to have this sweetheart.

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.

Our address is:

4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14

Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card).
