26Lady's Story

Meet Lady aka Lizzy!

Age: less than a year

Dogs: yes ( big and small )

Cats: not tested

Crate Trained: work in progress

Kids: loves them

House Trained: mostly

Energy Level: low/medium

Lizzy is a 10lb "package of delight" who perfectly balances energetic play with professional-level snuggling. Whether she’s keeping up with our Border Collie at the park or curling up on a lap for a movie night or simply sun bathing by herself in the backyard, she is a versatile companion who adapts to her person's pace.

Why she’s a catch:

Kid & Dog Approved: She adores children and enjoys the company of other dogs. She even mastered playing "tug" and "chase" with my 4-year-old.

Athletic & Smart: A great walking buddy who loves fetch and has the focus to be trained for off-leash adventures.

Social & Affectionate: She’s at her happiest when she’s right by your side or sitting with her favorite humans.

Her ideal home:

While Lizzy can thrive as an only dog, she’ll adjust fastest in a home with other pets or kids to keep her company. Because she isn't a fan of being alone and is still working on crate training, she needs a family where someone is home more often than not. She’s a "work in progress" with a little vocalizing at strangers and finishing up her potty training, but she’s a quick learner who responds beautifully to positive reinforcement.

“Ready for a lifetime of fetch, tug-of-war, and the best lap-naps of your life? Lizzy is packed and ready to meet her new best friends!"

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.

Our address is:

4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14
Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card). Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
