26-Keystone

Male

Chi/mix

approx. 4 yrs.

approx. 12 lbs.

Housetrained: Yes, needs a schedule

Crate Trained: Yes

Leash Trained: Working on it

Kids: No

Dogs: Yes, small dogs

Cats: Yes

Keystone is a sweet little dude who is a bit shy and loves to cuddle. He rides well in the car and is learning how to walk on leash. He is not one for the really long walks but does ok on shorter walks. He is scared at first but calms down. Needs to be walked with a harness.

Because he hasn't started signaling to go out to potty, he will need to be on a schedule to continue his housetraining. When the door is open to the backyard, he goes out on his own so may do well with a doggie door.

Kids make him nervous, so a quieter house is recommended. He should be crated for a couple of hours if you are running errands, but he is not suited to being left for long periods in a crate or alone. He wants and needs human companionship. He did very well with the cat and was respectful, wanted to be pals!

His crate training is coming along, and he is sleeping in the crate a night as he acclimates. He likes to have a bone to chew on in the crate. He might fuss a bit, but he is learning that it is a safe zone for overnight and a couple of hours during the day.

Come meet him Saturday!

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue.
