When this sweet boy gets excited, his favorite thing to do is run in happy little circles and show off his dance moves. He is a fantastic mix of playful and affectionate—he loves going for walks and playing fetch, but he is equally obsessed with cuddling in your lap and having his fluffy face scratched.<br/><br/>Copper likes to think of himself as a tough watchdog and will bark at new noises. Don't let the tough-guy act fool you, though! He is all bark and no bite, and his first instinct after barking is to run and hide right in his person's lap.<br/><br/>House Manners & Training:<br/><br/>* Training: He is fully house-trained and does wonderfully sleeping in his crate at night.<br/><br/>* Alone Time: Copper has major FOMO during the day. He strongly dislikes being crated while you're gone (and the neighbors will hear about it!), but the great news is he is perfectly well-behaved when left free roaming in the house for a couple of hours.<br/><br/>* Travel: He is a true homebody. Car rides are very stressful for him, so he is looking for a family who prefers neighborhood walks over road trips.<br/><br/>The Ideal Home:<br/><br/>Copper is a sensitive soul who is wonderful with kids of all ages, but he needs a family with the patience to let him warm up on his own timeline. He is completely unfazed by cats and is only mildly interested in other dogs. Because of his vocal nature and love for running in his signature circles, Copper requires a home with a yard to play in and would not be a good fit for apartment living. His perfect home is one where he can be your shadow, get endless face scratches, and safely do his happy spins!<br/><br/>This handsome guy is a great companion dog and is used to a different variety of farm animals. He follows off leash around the farm and loves to play with other dogs. He can be a bit of a rowdy dude at play and likes to growl, so he will need a dog that will match his play style. He can also be an only dog.<br/><br/>He is an alert barker and crates well but is not a fan of "crate crowding". Likes space around his crate when he is in it. Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
