It's Alyeska or as my mom calls me Aly here! Wanted to let everyone know how I'm doing and give you the most recent update on my life with my foster peeps!

Well, I'm happy to report that life is good. I am a 50ish pound Malinois mix and a youngster, maybe a year. I'm am completely house broken and haven't had a single accident in the house. And although it's not my favorite place, I much prefer the sofa, I will hang out in my crate at night and for all my meals! I love, and I mean love tennis balls and playing fetch. Chewing on pine cones, and really love to play in water; the pond, puddles, the hose, if it's water then I'm in! I also love every other dog I meet and just love to run and play with everyone, even the cats... which they don't seem to enjoy as much as me. But mom & dad have told me that I need to be nice and we've worked it out in the house and mostly outside, but sometimes I just want to give them a hug so bad that I might chase them a bit. But I have never tried to bite or eat them!!!

Some of the things that seems to really get mom a little exasperated is when I pull on my leash, but we've gotten so much better with that and I really just like to run along side her when we're on our walks! I'm learning that she's supposed to go through the door first, but I'm just so excited to go out and play that I forget sometimes. She calls me her triple expresso girl, i think because i have so much energy. I really need to get my burn on in the morning and luckily mom and me go on a 4.5 miles walk. After which I am much better behaved and open to learning some new stuff. Y'all will think this is funny, but mom is trying to teach me "The Art of Doing Nothing!" Yup, it's a thing. I'm learning to rewire and repurpose my energy and just relax, which is hard, cuz I like to go go go! Although my sisters and bro are really good at it.

Mom says that she thinks that if someone is willing to be as dedicated to training as I am, it will be a good fit. But until I met Mom and Dad, no-one really had any good expectations of me, so I didn't really know how I was supposed to behave. I heard her say that i've come a really long way and she and Dad see the improvements everyday.

Okay, i'm gonna let Mom say a couple things. Paws out peeps!

Mom here! Aly is a really sweet and amazing girl and has come a very long way in the 3 weeks that she's been with us. There is still room for improvement and we're confident that if you are willing to put some time regarding training and setting boundaries, Aly will blossom in your home. She is ALOT of dog! She's smart, strong, and very energetic. She's not the dog for you if you'll need to leave her alone while everyone is at work or school. She wants her people. She likes to help with every chore inside and out. She has never gone anywhere without us, so she's earned the freedom of being off leash on our property. And has a pretty good recall. So... if you are a busy body and like to walk, hike, work around your yard and have time for this girl, you'll love her. Please give her a chance, she's amazing and we are certainly going to miss her. ALOT!

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.

Our address is:

4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14
Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and fee for pups under 4 months old is $400 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card). Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
