Since then, I have spent three months in the Paws on the Block program. I’m so grateful to my handlers and the institution as a whole for helping me grow in confidence, learn new skills, and show off my best self. Now, I’m ready to find my perfect match!<br/><br/>Now if you aren’t aware of the Paws on the Block program let me tell you all about it! Paws on the Block is more than just a rescue program. It’s a life-changing partnership between Foothill Dog Rescue and Folsom State Prison, pairing rescue dogs with incarcerated individuals who pour their hearts into training, socializing, and loving these pups every single day. It’s a program full of second chances, hope, and transformation.<br/><br/>I know all my basic commands, I’m crate trained, and I walk so beautifully on leash. I love toys so get ready for your Home Goods trips, or chewy orders to become more frequent. I also love yummy treats (the fancier, the better), and snuggles, especially if you’ve got a cozy sweater or heated blanket for me.<br/><br/>My biggest goal right now is continuing to build my confidence. I warm up faster to women, but I’m working on trusting men too. I can be selective with other dogs, and I’m not really into playtime when I find my four legged pals, more so quiet coexistence. It’s like a dog’s doom scrolling equivalent! It’s really important that my people understand my signals, and are able to advocate for me.<br/><br/>I’m agile and love a challenge, so activities like at-home agility courses or fun games would make me very happy. A home with a yard would be amazing, I adore sniff-filled walks, exploring, and romping around outdoors.<br/><br/>Now if you think you may be a good match for me fill out an application for me!
