25Flamenco's Story
25-Flamenco
Spayed female
Chi mix
2 years old
Approx 12 pounds
Dogs :Fine with other dogs, although is a little intimidated if they’re much bigger than her
Cats :unknown
Kids: did great with kids 9 and up
House trained: work in progress, has come a long way!
Leash trained: learning to walk on leash, likes to meander along on walks

Meet Flamenco! This full of love and energy cutie is ready to be your new best friend. She was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived amongst 15 other dogs, so structure and boundaries are all new to her. She has come very long way in a short time. She has progressed wonderfully with house training and does great on a potty schedule. That training will need to be continued in her new home. She was initially very skittish when she came into our home and was frightened by a lot of everyday noises and movements. She has settled in much better, although is easily startled by sudden movements at times so a household with older children would be a better fit than young ones She loves to be cuddled and held and is a perfect lap dog. She has done well meeting people as long as they are calm when they approach her. She craves the bond of love from a person. She coexists fine with my dog but is definitely more interested in receiving attention from people. Her and I have bonded, and sometimes she will growl when other family members approach me, but that stops when she realizes they mean no harm, and she allows them to pet her. She does not like being confined so long periods in a crate would not be ideal for her. She sleeps soundly through the night as long as she is sleeping close to her person. She rides fine in a car, loves squeaky toys, and is discovering the joys of belly rubs and treats.
The ideal situation for Flamenco would be a home where somebody is there most of the time as she does not do well being on her own. Another dog would probably be fine for keeping her company, but she definitely misses her people when they’re not around. She will greet you with the most excited tail wagging and butt wiggles when she sees you even if it’s just been a few minutes! She really is the cutest thing and is ready to bring love and joy to a home that she can call her own.

If interested, we recommend submitting an adoption application at: www.foothilldogrescue.org

This dog will be available at Saturday’s adoption event at our rescue. Meet and greets are 11:00 - 1:00.
Our address is:
4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14
Shingle Springs, CA

Please bring all resident dogs and children that live in the household to the meet and greet.

Our adult dog adoption fee is $350 (with $5 processing fee if paid by card) and includes spay or neuter, rabies, DAPP and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, microchip, heart worm test and lifetime registration.
