Meet 2307-1555 Diamond (Off Site Foster)

*** No senior pet should be in a shelter! Waived adoption fee to help encourage a fast adoption for a loving retirement home!***

DIAMOND - 5-8 years old, 60 pounds, friendly, active. deaf.

Puppies are work as we all know. Adult dogs are so many times experienced living in a home. They don't chew. They don't bark. They don't destroy furniture. They know what it's like to live in a home as a member of a family. With our girl, Diamond, here, I think that's what we have! Diamond is estimated to be 5-8 years old. She is a chunky gal who most likely was in a family as her tummy shows she was not without food. he he I know I know! Diamond was curious in the yard figuring out where she was, who had been out in the yard and what's going on. She is friendly and, clearly, loves treats. She investigated the yard, the toys, the grass and she also would come back to me for attention. She is a lovely girl who will make your walks livelier, your tv shows more enjoyable and your adventures more fun! We don't know how she feels about other animals and will update when we find out more. Come visit Diamond at VBACAC,
341 S Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach
.

FOSTER UPDATE! 12/12/23

"We have LOVED having Diamond stay with us this past week. She has been such a joy to have in the house. She's the perfect dog for the working individual/family as she is perfectly fine being by herself during the day, but has no problem just hanging out by your side when you get home from work. She's very loyal and loves to snuggle up in a bunch of blankets next to the couch while you watch tv or do work. She enjoys her walks and does very well on them. When we meet a dog she always wants to say hi and sniff them and greet them. We highly recommend during greetings with other dogs that both she and the other dog be leashed, and in a neutral area where they can greet each other. She's very treat motivated and will play with you if you start playing with her. She enjoys car rides and rolling around in the grass outside. She's also a sucker for belly rubs. She'll walk right up to you and roll onto her side when she wants them. She also does perfectly fine being in a crate, but will still want all her blankets! Here are some photos of her showing off how much fun she's having!"
