22-112 Rose (aka Rosie)'s Story
Meet Rose!

This regal lady is a gorgeous 6 year old, 85 lbs, Great Pyrenees/Cattle Dog mix (best guess!). She is a professional snack enthusiast, walk coordinator, and glow-up queen.

She loves her people, loves her snacks (who doesn't?), and loves her walks. Her ideal day would be a nice long morning walk, a hearty breakfast, bonding time around the house with family, an afternoon excursion or evening walk, yummy dinner, and snuggling up on the couch ending the day watching cartoons. Oh, and don't forget the treats!

Rose has a lot of energy so she will thrive in an active home where she can go on a lot of walks and outdoor adventures. She would love a yard to lounge in, but she's also totally on board with multiple daily walks. If you've been thinking, “I really should get more steps in,” Rose is ready to hold you accountable.

She'd be happiest as the only dog in the home and would prefer a quieter environment without loud teens or kiddos. She's not asking for much — just a peaceful home where she can be your loyal sidekick and favorite walking buddy.

To meet Rose in person go to www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online application today!

ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care. All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!

* Adoption Fees:

Puppies (12 months and under) - $325

Dogs (over 12 months) - $275

Qualifications for Adoption: No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.

Must be home more than not.
Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.
Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.
Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.
Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.
Must have a secure fence if in a house.
All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.
DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.
