Coming soon!! Tucker is now 5 1/2 years old and 65 lbs. The family he was adopted to gave him to a random stranger who turned out to be homeless. He was let loose by this random stranger and hit by a car sustaining a right femur fracture. After regaining ownership of Tucker we were able to have his leg repaired on 7/16/25. He is a sweet, people and dog friendly boy and will be available for adoption after he recovers from surgery in the lovng and caring home of his foster family. <br/> <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Tucker is an adorable 5 month old black and white cattle dog mix (best guess!). He currently weighs about 28 pounds and still has some growing to do. He was abandoned at a local lake and was unsure of people at first but has been living in a loving foster home with two other dogs that he enjoys playing and cuddling with. Tucker would love a home with a friendly dog or two and/or ollder children who want to throw the ball for him. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs. <br/><br/><br/> <br/> Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address.<br/> <br/> <br/> Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household.<br/> <br/> <br/> Vet checks are required. All resident animals must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative (if applicable).<br/> <br/> <br/> Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.<br/> <br/> <br/> Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet.<br/> <br/> <br/> Must have a secure fence if in a house.<br/> <br/> <br/> Must remove any and all toxic plants in the back yard prior to home visit.<br/> <br/> <br/> Applicant is home more than not.<br/> <br/> <br/> Home visit is required. For this reason, we adopt locally in the Dallas area. Any poisonous plants must be removed from the yard before a dog can be placed.
