045374's Story
Hi! My name is Dooley. I am one very lucky doggy and I'd like to tell you why. Sometime in March 2003 I was surrendered at the Lied Animal Shelter because my owners were moving. They said I was a great dog, good with children, other dogs and cats. Despite my great reputation I waited a long time for the right family to come along. One hot day in July a very nice couple came to the shelter. One of the volunteers asked them if they would take a minute to visit with me. Sure they said. I took the opportunity to charm them in the get acquainted room by sitting nicely and offering my paw and looking at them sweetly with my beautiful brown eyes. How could they resist? They fell in love with me and decided to take me home. Here's a photo of me with my newest best buddies Petie on the left and Herbie (he's a little camera shy) in the background. My new mom and dad, Mr. & Mrs. K say that I'm a really special boy and they are so happy to have me. I have to say that's how I feel about them too. So there you have it - that's MY happy tail!
