Zuri & Zarina (Bonded Pair)

Zuri and Zarina came to Revelation Gardens as tiny orphaned kittens. Since then, they’ve had more than one home—but what these sweet girls have never had is the certainty that the next one will truly be forever.<br/><br/>The sisters were first adopted and spent a couple of years with their person before a change in living circumstances meant they could no longer stay. They returned to Revelation Gardens and were later adopted by an older couple, only to be returned again when the couple decided they were no longer able to have cats.<br/><br/>We tried once more.<br/><br/>Zuri found the PetSmart adoption environment particularly stressful, so she returned to the sanctuary while Zarina stayed and was adopted. Hoping to reunite the sisters, we contacted Zarina’s adopter, who agreed to welcome Zuri too.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, within a short time, uncertainty about possible future life changes led to both girls being returned once again.<br/><br/>None of those returns changed who Zuri and Zarina are.<br/><br/>They are still incredibly sweet, loving girls who enjoy playing, relaxing in the sunshine and spending time with their people. Zarina is particularly affectionate and has one very favorite way to receive attention:<br/><br/>She wants to be carried around like a baby.<br/><br/>And she absolutely adores it.<br/><br/>Zuri is more sensitive to change and unfamiliar environments, so she’ll need additional patience while adjusting. Once these girls know they’re safe, they are wonderful companions.<br/><br/>After everything they’ve experienced, Revelation Gardens is not in a hurry to send Zuri and Zarina anywhere. They have a home with us for as long as they need one.<br/><br/>But we haven’t stopped believing they deserve a home of their own.<br/><br/>If that home comes along, we’re looking for something very specific—not perfection, but commitment. Someone who understands that circumstances can change, cats need time to adjust, and bringing an animal home means planning for them to remain part of the family through those changes.<br/><br/>Zuri and Zarina have already started over enough times.<br/><br/>Their next home shouldn’t be another stop along the way. It should be the place they finally get to stay.
