Zuko's Story

Zuko is a handsome, sleek black gentleman with striking golden eyes and a heart that's every bit as big as he is. At approximately 2 years old and weighing about 12 pounds, this sweet boy is ready to leave his days of wandering behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own.

Zuko was found roaming on his own with a small head wound that became infected. Thankfully, he was rescued, received the care he needed, and is healing beautifully. Despite whatever he experienced before coming into rescue, he has remained incredibly sweet, trusting, and affectionate with people.

He loves attention, enjoys being petted, and is happiest when he's spending time with his humans. Zuko would thrive as the only cat in the home where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. However, with slow, patient introductions, we believe he could also live successfully with another calm, cat-friendly feline companion. He doesn't seem too fond of dogs, so we don't recommend a home with dogs.

Zuko has been fully vetted and is ready to begin his happily ever after. He's neutered, current on his rabies and distemper vaccinations, dewormed, and has tested triple negative for FeLV, FIV, and Heartworm.

This sweet boy has already survived life on the streets--now he deserves a soft bed, a sunny window, and someone to love him forever.

If you'd like to meet Zuko, please complete our online adoption application here:
https://rescuerehabrehome.org/cat-adoption-application

Adoption Fee is $75 (Adult)
* Neuter surgery
* Lifetime microchip
* FeLV/FIV/HW Testing
* Age-appropriate vaccinations (Rabies/Distemper [FVRCP])
* Deworming/DefleaingRescue Rehab Rehome does not adopt animals outside the state of Iowa.
