Zonnie's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Zonnie, a sweet and gentle ginger gentleman who’s approximately 11-12 years old.

After spending most of his life as a mouser, this orange tabby with blue eyes and a twisted tail is ready for the indoor retiree life. He’s looking for a loving home where he can relax, play, and enjoy some well-earned pampering.

Zonnie can be a little shy when settling into new spaces and will need some time to decompress. Once he’s comfortable, he’s a total cuddle bug—he loves chin scratches, belly rubs (he’ll even flip over to invite them!), and occasional playtime. He’s known to drool with happiness during snuggles with his foster family.

During the day, Zonnie likes to nap in a safe and comfy spot. In the evening, he enjoys pouncing hard on a string toy dragged across the floor. At night, he sneaks downstairs to sit quietly with the resident cats in his foster home, play independently with toy mice, and curl up on the sofa. Zonnie might like to have a calm cat friend in his next home who isn’t highly reactive to his skittishness. He is an agreeable but nervous fellow who is learning to feel safe indoors.

Zonnie is looking for a peaceful home where he can live out his golden years surrounded by love, attention, and snacks.

What Zonnie is looking for in a home:

- He can get nervous, so he needs a kind and patient guide to help him feel comfortable with new experiences.
- He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- He will need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- He needs to live indoors only.
- He has a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend.
- He has no known history with dogs.
- He has no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in adopting Zonnie!
