Zoey's Story

Zoey is around 3+ years old and was surrendered for not using the litter box. She has been using her litter box just fine here, so there could likely have been something upsetting her or stressing her out in her last home. Zoey is a beautiful girl that knows what she wants. She loves birdwatching, hanging out on our catio, and napping. She loves hanging out on our catio so much that we would like to see Zoey go to a home where she has access to a catio, porch, etc. Zoey has slowly started coming around to enjoying attention, but she is not overly affectionate. She enjoys a few scritches at bedtime, when she's enjoying a meal, etc. Otherwise, she's purrfectly happy to do her own thing. Zoey doesn't mind the other cats, so she'd probably do fine in a home with another pet as long as it's nice to her. She's not the cat for you if you want an immediate lapcat, but if you need a mouser or a buddy for your cat, or if you are willing to put in the work to earn her trust, Zoey's your girl! Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc's Adoption Policy

The Adoption Fee is $120 for cats and kittens, $80 for senior cats (age 10+). Every cat has been spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations as required by age (FVRCP and Rabies). To be considered as an adopter, you must: - Be the intended owner and primary caretaker – no third party adoptions are allowed - Be 21 years of age or older - Have identification showing your present address - Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable), present proof or we can call - Have the knowledge and consent of all members of your household - Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment and proper care of the cat - Currently own only spayed and neutered pets that are up-to-date on their vaccinations (special circumstances may apply) - Agree that you will not declaw the cat Our adoption application can be filled out and submitted right on our website at www.secondchancear.org (click the "Adopt" tab toward the top of the homepage, then scroll down to the "Online Adoption Application" button). Paper adoption applications are also available for pick-up or mailing in the shelter office, or can be printed from our website.
