Zara's Story

I am the queen of your home—Zara, at least I love to think that. I’m an amazing gal who loves to sleep in high places and get into everything I shouldn’t. I tend to be talkative at times and aloof at others. Can’t find me? Look for me in a cubby hole, taking one of my daily snoozes. Cat trees are my favorite spots to perch and watch the world go by through the windows. Got windows where I can chill and survey my kingdom? I’d love that!

I enjoy sleeping on your bed, and with time, I might even curl up right beside you. Got treats or special canned food? You’ll instantly become my new best friend. My foster mom sometimes spoils me with broth packets—they’re so delicious. I’m okay with being picked up, but please don’t lay me on my back, and I prefer not to be held for too long.

I’m used to older kids (8 years and up) and am definitely not a fan of dogs—I don’t tolerate them at all. Also, no small animals, birds, or similar pets; I’ll see them as prey and eat them. My routine includes being free-fed dry food and enjoying my canned food every evening.

Ready to open your heart and home to a beautiful queen like me? Contact my foster mom or the lovely ladies who run the rescue.

NOTE: If you don’t like lap cats, talkative kitties in your face, or a cat who sleeps in your bed, I might not be the best fit. Being a right-beside-you type of kitty is part of my awesome personality. I’m spayed, tested, vaccinated, and microchipped. My estimated birthdate is 3/1/2019, and my adoption fee is $140.
