Zara's Story

Zara was born around May 2025. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and has been dewormed. Zara is on the shy side, but she enjoys playtime and is curious, observant and happiest when she is moving at her own pace. She isn't comfortable being picked up right now, and that is okay. With time, patience and consistency, she will continue to build her confidence. She is used to being around other cats, though slow introductions are always recommended in a new home. Because Zara is still young, she would benefit from being adopted with another cat for social development. She could also do well going to a home that already has a friendly cat. Zara is looking for a calm, patient home that understands shy cats. If you have a cozy spot for Zara to grow her confidence, she just might be the right one for you.

Our Mission

Happy Days was built in order to rescue and protect homeless and abandoned cats and kittens. It is now one of the larger feral cat sanctuaries in Ontario. The sanctuary provides a safe home to cats in distress whether abandoned or feral with the hope that they can move on to a ‘Forever Home’.
