ZANIA's Story
Birthdate: Aprox 5 years old
FIV POSITIVE
This very pretty lady came into care with three kittens only 3 weeks old in June 2025. She had been caring for her babies outdoors despite suffering from a nasty upper respiratory infection. We also soon discovered that Zania was not yet finished being a mama ... she was already pregnant again when rescued. In August Zania required an emergency C-Section & gave birth to 3 more kittens. She has been a kind mama to both litters of kittens who have all lived in the same foster home.. All but two babies have been adopted and now that Zania has been spayed & vaccinated she's also ready to find a home & family of her own.

This sweet, gentle & loving kitty tested positive for FIV (feline infectious peritonitis) but fortunately all of her kittens were negative. This virus is not easily passed and usually spreads through non-neutered males aggressively fighting over territory or females outdoors. Zania can live safely with another friendly cat whether FIV+ or non FIV as long as they are given a gradual introduction. Although she did not warm up to the friendly dog in her foster home, this was likely due to being constantly "on guard" and protective of her kittens. She was fine during visits from her foster mom's grandchildren.

After surviving so many challenges in her early years Zania deserves to enjoy the rest of her days in a safe and loving home. This lovely girl enjoys quiet companionship and calm playtime. FIV+ cats do not require extra care... Zania just needs a safe indoor home with healthy food, regular vet checkups and lots of LOVE.

Could YOU give Zania the home she so deserves? Please submit an INQUIRY to meet her in her foster home soon!
FIV+ Adoption fee is $100 total.
