Zahara's Story
Meet Zahara! ?
I’m an adorable, 7-month-old independent kitty with a playful spirit. I absolutely love toys, but my true obsession is other cats—I just can’t get enough of them! Dogs are cool too, but it will definitely take me a little bit longer to warm up to them and I will need slow and proper introductions.
My brother and I were found in a dumpster when we were about two months old, so it takes me a little longer to trust new people. I need a patient and understanding family, as I was very hesitant about attention when I first arrived at my foster home. In fact, I tried not to allow it for the first two months! But with time, love, and patience, I’ve really come around (my foster mom didn’t really give me a choice lol).
I absolutely love cat trees—they’re my safe space. You’ll often find me perched up high, gazing out the window and watching the world go by. I’m also a big fan of Churu treats, and believe it or not, I even tolerate nail trims (now that I really like my foster mom ?).
I’d thrive in a forever home with another cat (or cats!) to be my companion. If there’s a dog, I’d do best with one that isn’t too interested in me, as I do still get nervous around them at times. I’d also prefer a home without young children, as I can be quite skittish and need a calm environment where my boundaries are respected.
If you think we’d be a perfect match, please fill out an application to adopt me! ?
