Yukon's Story

Yukon is a cuddle bug; he will follow you around almost everywhere just to watch you go about your day. His favorite thing to do is to find a spot in the sun, preferably a bed or chair, and lie there for hours. He loves long string-like toys that he can grab and run around the house with in his mouth. When he wants something, he will make the cutest high squeak meow and give you "puppy" eyes.<br/>Yukon loves the company of other playful young cats, and would love a feline friend in his new home. If you don't have another kitty who can be a buddy for him, adopt him with his sister, Red, or one of his friends! Yukon makes new friends easily, and he'd love to make a friend out of you, too!

Contra Costa Humane Society's Adoption Policy

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens).
