Yoshi's Story
Yoshi is a stunning kitten with a gentle, tender heart—but he’s still quite shy and will need a patient person who can give him time and space to adjust. He came from a large feral colony, so learning that people can be kind has been a big journey for him. His foster has spent many hours helping him learn that the world isn’t so scary, and he makes progress every single day.Despite his shyness, Yoshi is heartbreakingly sweet. He purrs almost instantly when you pet him, plays with soft sweetness (never using his claws), and even allows cherished tummy rubs. With time, trust, and a calm environment, he will blossom into the most loving, loyal companion.Yoshi is not ready for a busy household—young children or active dogs would be overwhelming for him. He will thrive in a quiet home with slow movements and patient humans. Because he tends to hide when overwhelmed, he will need to start his new life in a small, controlled space without hiding spots. A bathroom or an XL dog crate works wonderfully until he builds confidence and bonds with his new family. Yoshi and Yaris are two incredibly sweet and beautiful little boys who are ready to make your holidays extra fun, special, and wonderfully entertaining. Yoshi is a soft, fluffy purring ball of love, while Yaris is a sleek, confident, and charming little house panther. They adore each other and would love to be adopted together if you happen to be in the market for a pair.Meet Yoshi by applying to adopt and a meet and greet can be scheduled. He and his new good friend, Yaris, are in a foster home for the holiday. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given a few rounds of dewormer and started on monthly flea preventative.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
