Yoshi's Story

Hi there, I’m Yoshi!
I’m a big, handsome orange guy with an even bigger love for food. Treats are kind of my thing… especially crunchy ones. I’ve got a top-tier sniffer and can smell “cookies” from a mile away. After treat time, you’ll usually find me checking every nook and cranny… just in case someone missed one.

I came to the sanctuary as an older feral kitten, and I’ll be honest… I did not like humans at first. You were weird. Very weird. It took me a couple of years (yes, years!) of patience, love, and a whole lot of food to decide that maybe people aren’t so bad after all. Now I’m a friendly guy, though I can still be a little shy at first. New places are scary, so my future family will need to understand that I’ll hide in the beginning. Give me time, go slow, and definitely use food… it’s the way to my heart.

Once I’m comfortable, I really enjoy being petted, especially head scratches. Belly rubs are allowed… but only when I say so. I sometimes sleep upside down (because why not?) and I make the cutest air biscuits while I’m relaxing. I love comfy beds, hanging out high up in cat trees, playing, wrestling, and of course, being cute.

I’m also a big fan of wet food and would like that to continue, thank you very much. Like I said, I’m a foodie. I’d do best in a home with another cat to keep me company and help me feel confident.

If you think we might be a good match, you can come visit me any day between 1–5pm. I’ll probably be nearby… sniffing for treats.

I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I even had a dental recently, so all my teeth are clean. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Yoshi, please message us on Facebook at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary or email us at FurballFarmCatSanctuary@gmail.com
