Yonkers's Story

Yonkers is just over 4 months old. Her and her sister Galloway were found hiding from the rain under a car in Philadelphia just days after being born. At just a few weeks old, they were already mastering things like how to eat and use the litter box without making a terrible mess. Nowadays, they are pros! Much like her sister, Yonkers is also a very rare type of cat. She looks like a grey tabby in a lot of the photos, but she is actually a muted, diluted grey tortoiseshell cat. And if you know torties, you know they love to chirp! Yonkers is the “big” sister, although they are littermates, and she is by far the more adventurous and carefree one. Yonkers has been trying to escape from isolation for weeks, and now that she and her sister have been introduced to our resident pets and allowed out of their room when we are home, she is taking full advantage of all this newfound freedom and space! She seems to be good with all of our cats and even our Jackhuahua. Yonkers is very playful, and she is getting quick too!

Despite her independence, Yonkers still seeks out her sister Galloway for cuddles, wrestling matches, and food breaks. They are a bonded pair and we would prefer adopters to only inquire if they are interested in both of these girls, as we do not wish to separate them. Exceptions will be made under the right circumstances, but everyone knows the only thing better than a new kitten at home is TWO new kittens at home! Please message us today for more information about this lovely girl!

Interested in adopting Yonkers? Apply Here: https://linktr.ee/quirkycatclub

Our Mission
To provide support, shelter and good old fashioned "love and care" to at-risk felines in need of a second chance. We aim to do this by way of rescue, foster, adoption, re-homing, and community support, among other means. Our overall goal is simple.
