Yeller's Story

We are not entirely sure how Yeller got his name at the shelter, because this sweet boy definitely does **not** live up to it! He is a *tiny* bit vocal, but “Yeller” is certainly an exaggeration. We think something like “Purr-er” might actually be more accurate.

Yeller can be a little shy when he first meets you, but give him some time and patience, and his sweet, playful personality comes shining through. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes a total purr machine who loves cuddles and attention from his people.

Playtime is definitely one of Yeller’s love languages. He is a complete fiend for wand and string toys and will happily chase a laser pointer around the room. He also has a bit of a penchant for nibbling on human toes, so watch your feet around this adorable little troublemaker!

Yeller has seen dogs before and did fine being around them at the shelter, although he has not had much direct interaction with them. He has not spent much time around children either. Since he can be a little hesitant about new things, he would probably do best with calm, respectful dogs and kids who can give him time to adjust. With patience and a proper introduction, we think he could adapt beautifully.

One thing Yeller is **not** negotiable about: he needs kitty friends in his forever home! He absolutely thrives with feline companionship and would love to have another friendly, playful cat to keep him company.

If you are looking for a gentle, cuddly little guy who starts out a bit shy but blossoms into a playful, affectionate purr machine, Yeller might just be your guy. And don't worry — despite the name, we promise you will not be bringing home a yeller!

*Please note that most of our kitties will only be adopted out in pairs or to a home with an existing cat or furry companion--depending upon what is best for them.

If you are interested in adopting Yeller, you can find our Adoption Application and more information about our adoption process at http://www.kittycrusaide.org/adopt.

Kitty CrusAIDe's Adoption Policy
All of our adoptable pets will be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, de-wormed, and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our adoption fee is $150 for a single kitten and $225 for a pair of kittens. If you find a feline friend that you'd be interested in learning more about please visit our website at www.kittycrusaide.org to submit an application. All of our animals are in private foster homes so our adoption process is 100% online. First your application will be screened and a short 15-20 minute phone interview will take place. Then one or several virtual meet & greets will be set up to introduce you to kittens that you're interested in and we feel may be a good fit for your home. A virtual home check will take place before bringing your kitten(s) home to ensure everything is safe and set-up for them. Finally, you'll bring home your new best friend! Our cats/kittens are not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal.
