Yammy's Story

Yam (aka Yammy!) - the adorable, playful, and goofy buff-colored sweetie!

Yam (estimated birthdate August 2024) is a petite, medium-haired girl with the fluffiest, swooshiest tailand she knows how to use it for maximum charm. She’s confident, curious, and absolutely full of personality!

Yam is a total sweetheart who starts purring the second you make eye contact. She’s an “insta-purr” kitty through and through — just one gentle pet or glance her way and she’s already melting into love mode. She adores human affection and will eagerly lean into your hand, snuggle next to you, and follow you around to be part of the action.

She’s also super goofy and playful! Yam has a natural sense of fun and adventure, and she’s always up for a game of chase, wrestling, or pouncing on toys. Her best friend in the whole world is her foster brother Sammy (please check out his bio too), and the two of them are inseparable. They wrestle, zoom through the house playing tag, groom each other, nap together, and chirp like sonar when they lose track of each other. They’re like a tiny comedy duo —endlessly entertaining and full of joy.

Yam is also social and confident once she’s comfortable in her space. She’s a happy, low maintenance kitty and her friendly, curious nature makes her a great fit for a variety of home types.

Though she’s not Sammy’s biological sister, you’d never guess it—they’ve been together for months in their foster home and formed the sweetest bond. They’d love to find a forever home together, where they can continue their adorable antics and shower their humans with double the love and purrs.

If you're looking for a sweet, funny, affectionate kitty who’s equal parts snugglebug and playful goofball, Yam is your girl. Pair her with Sammy and you’ve got the dream team of love and laughter. They are available for private meet and greets either virtually or in person! ?

To start the adoption process, an application must be completed and approved. You will find our full adoption process and the application at www.aarflove.org.

We also have kitty adoption events most Saturdays from 12-3pm, where you can meet and interact with some of our available kitties. See our website for more information.

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF)'s Adoption Policy
All of our pets are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, dewormed, deflead and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our cats are Felv/Fiv tested as well. Our adoption amounts: DOGS 6 months and older ~ $400 PUPPIES younger than 6 months ~ $500. CATS and KITTENS 6 months older ~ $150. KITTENS younger than 6 months ~ $200. If you find a pet you would like to meet, please visit our website at www.aarflove.org to submit an application. We do not do actual adoptions at our events; the events are for applicants to meet our adoptable animals and for us to meet potential adopters. It's important to submit an application to be considered for adoption. Our animals are also not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal. All of our animals are in private foster homes so attending one of our events or by meet and greets, is the best way to get to know our adoptable pets.
